Heather J. Nelson Founder & President, Champion Assistants
Heather Nelson conceptualized and established Champion Assistants to fill a void in the virtual services marketplace. Her basic principle: to provide great service to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and international companies, virtually. She decided to dedicate her business to serving the needs of small business owners, realizing entrepreneurs and small businesses do not need employees as much as they need scalable, reliable, professional services to keep their businesses on track and help them get ahead of their competition.
She brings a vast wealth of experience and knowledge to the table in marketing, project management and IT. Before starting her company in 2006, Heather spent ten years working in the software industry, as a marketing consultant for Hewlett Packard, program manager at Oracle, and SAP project manager at the German company, MSG Systems A.G. Nelson earned her Bachelor of Science degree at UCLA in sociology and labor relations, going on to study master’s level technology management at Lund University in Sweden. Nelson has traveled extensively for work and pleasure. Her travels have taken her to 50 countries on six different continents, including Argentina, Madagascar, Mongolia, Zimbabwe, Italy, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Japan.
She is proud to be a small business owner, because she can relate to and understand her clients, and then effectively help them get the service they need to help move their own business forward and take it to the next level. “I’m an entrepreneur who immensely enjoys watching businesses grow and succeed,” says Nelson. “I enjoy helping my clients just as much as I enjoy building my own businesses. Business savvy and endurance are two of my attributes that have carried me far.”
Of Champion Assistants, Nelson says, “I put together a team of specialists who are tops in online sales & marketing and web design. We have a great time working together and collaborating on projects.”
“As owner of Champion Assistants, I love being able to implement sales and marketing strategies that propel my clients ahead of their competition!” NOTE: The very first Champion Assistants client is still with the company today. “We really enjoy seeing all the accomplishments our clients achieve over the time we provide services for them,” Nelson says.
In addition to Champion Assistants, Nelson founded and runs Holiday Assistants, which provides decorating services during the holidays. She is also launching TrippyTravels.com, a website dedicated to the traveler.
Kristi Bennitt Bookkeeping, 1Shopping Cart, Online Sales & Marketing
With over 10 years experience working at technology and health care companies, Kristi is highly skilled at accomplishing projects and completing daily tasks. 1Shopping Cart, eProducts and Newsletters are her fortes, and she enjoys working strategically with clients. A numbers enthusiast, Kristi is a certified QuickBooks Pro User for the 2009 edition. Her professional experience is primarily in the Seattle area, although she has also spent time working in Germany.
Sarah Blum Business Processes, 1Shopping Cart, & Human Resources
Sarah is our human resources and business process specialist. She has 15 years experience working at an executive search company, and has worked in multiple teams analyzing and developing business processes. Sarah focuses on the inner workings of businesses and is a certified QuickBooks Pro User for the 2009 edition. In her spare time, she enjoys crafts and other creative pursuits.
Aaron Hecker Graphic Designer
Aaron has extensive experience in the arts, from drawing to graphic design. Trained at the Los Angeles Art Institute, Aaron has a wonderful ability to understand what clients are truly looking for and skillfully create designs that appeal to their target market. His designs are progressive yet tailored to each client’s industry and customer base. His creative designs can be viewed on our Portfolio Page.
Vladan Seget Web Designer
Vladan received his college degree in Applied Arts for Industrial Design with a specialization in graphic and web design. He has nearly a decade of post-graduate experience in creative arts and multi-media working across all industries and business segments. He enjoys the online dimension is his graphic creations and specializes in total website design and Wordpress blog design. Alexander Morris Web Programmer
Alexander has expertise in multiple technologies, languages, platforms and tools giving him the ability to efficiently develop websites from the ground up.
